Deep Desert Goes PvE in Major Expansion

Strategic PvP Zones Remain for High-Stakes Play

The latest update reconfigures the southern half of the Deep Desert into a PvE-only region. Players who’d rather avoid PvP entirely can now explore, loot, and progress without having to dodge enemy fire. Caves, Imperial Testing Stations, and other key spots in this area are now PvE-exclusive.
That said, not everything has gone pacifist. Control Points and Shipwrecks remain PvP across the map, including the newly converted PvE areascreating risk pockets for those chasing bigger rewards. This approach mirrors what's already in place in Hagga Basin, keeping some friction alive for those who thrive on tension.

Devs Clarify Vision: More Choice, Less Pressure

Creative Director Joel Bylos acknowledged the pushback from PvE players during a recent AMA. “We’re not trying to shove PvP down anyone’s throat,” he said. “The idea is to open up endgame content to everyone, no matter their preferred playstyle.”

Critical Bug Fixes Enhance Overall Stability Several bug fixes round out the patch: loading screen hangs, melee obstruction from corpses, and issues with black screens and mislabelled schematics have all been addressed. There's also a fix for players losing learned emotes after respec'ing their skill treea particularly annoying quirk now resolved.
